UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 30, 2016. Six workers of EVRAZ Holding’s Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works (NTMK) received state awards and titles for their professional achievements, improvement proposals, launch of new technologies, and serving as mentors for the younger generation of engineering cadre, the company press service reports.

Heavy Milling Department foreman Viktor Panayev was given the Order of Frienship.

‘Panayev has been designing and implementing improvement proposals aimed at reducing the plant’s local environmental impact. His team are always among the production output leaders. Victor Panayev has worked with twelve younger workers as a mentor and supporter in the last five years,’ the press service says.

Sergei Musatov, Sergei Chukharev, and Sergei Fedotov were given the title of Honored Metallurgist of the Russian Federation. Steel-smelter Sergei Musatov has worked at the plant for thirty-four years now and was behind the method of accounting for energy and natural gas spending that saves the plant around 50m RUR every year.

Nikolai Melentyev and Andrei Nikitin received the For Merit to the Fatherland Medals.
