UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 26, 2016. Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) shipped a set of large-diameter pipes to Turkmenistan’s Energy Ministry’s state-owned energy corporation Turkmenenergo.
According to TMK press service, the shipment comprises over 17,000,000 kg of 720mm LDPs with corrosion-resistant outer coating. The pipes were made at TMK’s Volzhsky Pipe Plant.
The LDPs are meant for the construction of a pipeline that will connect a new gas turbine power station near Mary in the Karakum Desert to the rest of the network. This is part of a state-run energy sector upgrade program in Turkmenistan.
In fact, TMK has already supplied large-diameter pipes for the construction of pipelines in the country earlier.
