FGC UES Raises Yamal Substation’s Capacity

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 25, 2016. Federal Grid Company (FGC UES) launched a fourth transformer unit at Muravlenkovskaya Power Substation in Yamalo-Nenetsky Autonomous District.

According to the company press service, this increased the substation’s power-generation capacity by 125 MVA, so now the substation can provide power supply (up to 9.6 MW) to users in Noyabrsky District (including Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz assets).

‘The new transformer unit was made in Russia and is fitted with an up-to-date energy-saving cooling system and a multifunctional high-voltage bushing 24/7 control and protection device. Besides, a number of modern microprocessor-based protection relays and stability control schemes were installed along with the new transformer unit,’ the press service says.
