UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 23, 2016. ChTPZ Group delivered over 700,000 kg of seamless pipes to Kurganstalmost in the first half of this year; the pipes are needed for the construction of a new stadium in Rostov-on-Don in time for the World Cup 2018, the Group’s press service reports.
‘This batch of 159-426mm pipes is made of low-alloyed steel with improved technical properties (strength grade C390). The entire production process from steel-smelting to finishing treatment of the pipes was completed at the Group’s member enterprises: META was responsible for collection and recycling of scrap metal, the pipe billets were made at Iron Ozone 32, the pipes themselves were made at our pipe-rolling department, and the thermal treatment was given to them at our Finishing Center,’ the press service says.
These pipes will be used for building the facade structure of the stadium and for the roof, a close structure with a rectangular cut in the middle.
ChTPZ Group also supplied pipes for the construction of other World Cup 2018 stadiums in 2011-2015. These are Otkrytiye Arena in Moscow, Samara Arena in Samara, Mordovia Arena in Saransk, and Kazan Arena in Kazan.
