Plant 9 Gets New Vent Systems

15 August 2016 (13:39)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 15, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s Plant 9 now has up-to-date ventilation equipment: welding sections at Department 27 got ten new filtering and ventilation units, the company press service reports.

Every unit is essential, as these are installed next to a welder’s work area to trap gas and dust and to filter the air the mill operator is breathing. The filters provide the clean air that fully meets all the existing requirements.

‘This is a Russian-made equipment meant for specific welder’s work area that has already been zoned and protected in accordance with job safety, environmental protection, and personal health standards,’ says the plant’s employee Boris Gilmanshin, who was in charge of supervising the equipment delivery and setup.

The filtering is done with the help of compressed air. A short compressed-air blast clears the filter, making it clean again.
