MegaFon: Traffic at No Charge for Pokemon Go Players
1 August 2016 (13:33)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 1, 2016. The telecommunications provider Megaton is not charging its subscribers anything for the Internet traffic used to play Pokemon Go, the company press service reports.
‘Given the game’s astounding popularity in the countries where Pokemon Go has been launched, it was decided our subscribers wouldn’t have to pay anything for the Internet traffic this app uses. Fast, good quality connection will make it possible to play anywhere, any time. One’s free time available and one’s common senses are the only limits to pokemon-searching. MegaFon, on its part, is offering good quality connection, high-speed mobile Internet access, and free traffic. In fact, the monsters are not unlikely to be found in MegaFon outlets in larger cities,’ says MegaFon Marketing Director Leonid Savkov.
According to the telecommunications provider, even though the game hasn’t been officially released in Russia yet, over 200,000 of MegaFon subscribers are already playing Pokemon Go. For one, Saint Petersburg-based Georgiy Timofeyev has already set a world record by catching 145 little game creatures.
