Ural Vagon Zavod to Present B11 Bulldozer in Saudi Arabia

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 29, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant is going to present its B11 bulldozer at a construction exhibition in Saudi Arabia this October. The company is currently busy assembling the exhibition sample and getting it ready for the long voyage to the port in Dammam, the corporation’s press service reports.

‘This piece (B11.8000) is a bit unusual in that, unlike its serially produced counterparts, it is fitted with a foreign-made transmission gear and engine. The vehicle will also be painted bright green instead of the standard yellow. A similar make was also presented at the International Innoprom Exhibition in ekaterinburg last year,’ the press service says.

Head of the plant’s export department Alexander Sergeyev says a green coating makes the bulldozer quite different from all of its Russian or foreign counterparts. While agricultural vehicles come in all kinds of colors, industrial tractors and bulldozers are typically yellow, as is the case with road-building vehicles by the world’s leading manufacturers. So the non-trivial green is a way to make the bulldozer stand out from the rest of the vehicle samples. The color green has a special meaning in the Arab World, so the tractor is likely to attract the exhibition visitors’ particular attention.
