6 July 2016 (16:46)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 6, 2016. Metcombank increased its authorized capital by 12bn RUR; the decision was made at the bank’s annual general meeting, the company press service reports.

The increase was made possible due to a new issue of ordinary shares (12m shares with nominal value 1,000 RUR each).

‘The Bank of Russia registered our report on the issue on July 1, 2016. Upon the registration of our share issue report by the state, the bank’s authorized capital officially amounts to 16bn RUR,’ the bank’s press service says.

According to Metcombank Chair of the Board Dmitri Torbenko, an additional share issue is one of the most popular ways to increase a bank’s own funds.
