’Anatoly Barabanov came to work at the plant with a fresh degree from Ulyanovsk Polytechnic forty years ago this year; he has been the plant’s Director-General for twenty-one years now. He is now in charge of a complex, unique production facility in the Russian defense sector. The plant makes wheels, brakes, and control units for military, multi-purpose, and civilian planes and helicopters as well as some of the parts used in armored vehicles,’ the company press service says.
The company’s military-purpose goods are part of the state-supported import substitution program, which the plant’s Director-General sees as the company priority.
