UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 6, 2016. Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant/PNTZ (a member enterprise of ChTPZ Group) recently launched their new cold-roll Mill KhPT 10-45, a polishing unit, and a flattening machine for making cold-shaped stainless steel pipes.
According to the Group’s press service, these upgraded facilities will help increase production output, improve product quality, and cut production costs for goods meant for the nuclear and machine-building industries. The entire project cost nearly 200m RUR to implement.
The cold-roll mill’s capacity is estimated at 1.1m meters of pipes of a year, that of the finishing machines at 2.4m meters a year. The equipment is primarily meant for making pipes with the diameter of 10 mm to 30 mm that are up to twenty meters long; it is also suitable for pipes with the diameter of 6 mm to 80 mm that are up to twenty-two meters long.
The Group’s share of the Russian weldless industrial pipe market currently comes to around 50%.
