Electromachine to Save 1.8m RUR on Measurements

6 April 2016 (09:22)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 6, 2016. This year, Electromachine (a member enterprise of Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation) is planning to get additional certificates authorizing the company to do calibration testing of its geometrical, radio, thermo-technical, and vacuum measuring instruments, the company press service reports.

This will mean the plant can fully meet its own instrument-testing needs without any outside help and thus save around 1.8m RUR annually.

‘The products our plant makes are all involved in the government-controlled regulation of measurements and their precision, so all the measuring devices we use for manufacturing and testing our produce must be checked by authorized labs and certified experts. This is why Electromachine set up its own Senior Metrologist’s Department which currently comprises labs for geometrical, electrical, radio, and thermo-technical measurements,’ the press service says.

The department was certified to do calibration testing of measuring devices in 2014 (Certificate (№ RA.RU 310558). In December 2015, the department confirmed all its professional expertise successfully as well.

‘Our measuring experts undergo professional development training on a regular basis and are on the government measuring experts’ list. Our measuring devices are also repaired right here at the plant by our own highly skilled team,’ says the company Quality Control Director Alexander Shevtsov.
