UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 3, 2016. Ormet, an Orenburg Region-based member enterprise of Russian Copper Company dealing in production and processing of copper and copper-zinc ores, has recently completed yet another round of retooling successfully, the company press service reports.

The company’s processing plant had an automated analytical control system based on AR-35-O (X-ray wavelength dispersive flowstream pulp analyzer) installed at the end of last year. The equipment was delivered and launched by Bourevestnik, the biggest X-ray industrial and scientific equipment designer and producer in the CIS and part of ALROSA Group.

The goal was to replace the old control system with the new one that would be customized to suit Ormet’s production facilities’ specific needs.

The automated X-ray wavelength dispersive flowstream pulp analyzer is a new-generation device containing the most up-to-date electronic components, unique high-resolution X-ray optics, and new software. The analyzer can provide information on the chemical composition and density of products non-stop automatically, which makes the technological process of copper ore processing more efficient,’ the company press service says.
