ChTPZ Group supplies pipes for World Cup 2018 stadium

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 25, 2015. ChTPZ Group is going to deliver 2,000,000 kg of pipes to Belenergomash-BZEM before the end of December.
According to the company press service, the pipes will be used for making metal structures at a stadium in Saransk which is expected to host the games of the World Football Championship of 2018.
70% of these pipes are electrically welded ones with the diameter of 530mm and wall width of 14-22mm and 30% are weldless pipes with the diameter of 273mm and wall width of 8-12mm. All of these pipes are made of extra strong grades of steel and have improved mechanical characteristics. The weldless pipes were produced from the plant’s own materials from Iron Ozone 32, the electric steel-smelting department. The scrap metal for the purpose was supplied by the Group’s daughter enterprise META.
‘Our workers have supplied pipes for stadium construction before, that is, to Kazan Arena Stadium, Moscow-based Spartak Stadium, and a stadium in Samara. Our pipes were also used for an indoor skating facility in Sochi and Adler Railway Station,’ the press service says.
