Yekaterinburg among Russia‘s Top10 New Year break destinations

UrBC, Moscow, November 17, 2015. Yekaterinburg got on the list of Russia’s Top10 places to go to for the winter break; the list was made by the Russian hotel booking services Oktogo.ru and is based on the number of reservations made by independent travelers for December 31, 2015-January 10, 2016.
‘People will come to Yekaterinburg for two days on average and will pay 2,500 RUR per night on average,’ says the company’s Brand Communications Manager Yakov Sadchikov.
The other cities on the list are Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Pskov, Yaroslavl, Velikiy Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, and Petrozavodsk. Also, Sochi is No.1 among sea resorts.
Based on the booking data, travelers will spent the average of three days in Moscow, four days in Kazan, and five days in Saint Petersburg this winter, paying 3,900 RUR, 3,700 RUR, and 3,400 RUR per night, respectively.
As for places abroad, the top cities are Prague, Tallinn, Helsinki, Riga, Vienna, Budapest, Rome, Berlin, Istanbul, and Minsk.
Krakow will come at the lowest price (3,200 RUR a day), staying in Minsk and Warsaw will cost 3,400 RUR and 3,500 RUR a day, respectively. The longest stays have been booked in Prague, Rome, and Budapest (five nights in each case).
