UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 13, 2015. Yurginsky Plant (an asset of Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation) and Siberian Coal Company/UKSIB signed a contract for the former to supply the latter with a set of mining equipment for Uvalnaya Mine.

Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s press service reports their plant was notified of winning in the multi-round supplier selection procedure as early as July.

‘The final decision was taken during the customer representatives’ visit to the plant. They could take a look at the plant’s production facilities and talk with the tech support teams about the most suitable equipment for their mine,’ the press service says.

Yurginsky Plant’s technicians are now preparing the plant’s production facilities for work; to fulfill the customer’s order, new, recently purchased equipment will be used. Additionally, some more hi tech tools will have to be obtained.

The plant is now the primary employer in Yurga, Kemerovo Region, a home to over 80,000 people, some 4,000 of whom work at the plant. Starting from this year, Yurginsky is run by Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation.
