UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 30, 2015. The Russian Federation Government and Sverdlovsk Region Government adopted an action plan for easing the tension on the area’s labor market; one of the steps is introducing a blue-collar training program at Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant. Around six hundred workers are expected to undergo the training.

According to the corporation’s press service, the program will be multi-fold.

‘Firstly, the idea is to train new blue-collar cadre, namely, sling operators and digital data processors. Secondly, we plan to offer professional development training to electric welders, breakdown mechanics, and crane operators. Then, for the first time this year, we’ll offer training to managers and potential managers in the fields of team management, JIT logistics, strategy development, 1C Personnel, and others. There are twenty-two different courses all in all,’ the press service says.

Courses will be conducted by faculty of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Yeltsin Ural Federal University, 21st Century Ural Training Institute, Nizhniy Tagil Metal Treatmen School, and Ural Vagon Zavod Personnel Training Center. Contracts will be signed with the said establishments, with Ural Vagon Zavod getting reimbursed for the tuition costs from the federal budget funds.
