UrBC, Omsk, October 16, 2015. Omsktransmash (a member enterprise of Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation) hosted a Transmash OBORONPROF conference to elect chairs of the company’s trade union, the corporation’s press service reports.
Viktor Kurochkin was re-elected Chair for the next five years.
Kurochkin said in his report on the trade union’s performance in 2010-2015 that the organization managed to ensure cooperation with the plant’s management in many aspects. As a result, Omsktransmash won the first prize in the 11th Best Social Partnership Enterprise in 2014.
A number of committees were set up at the plant upon the trade union’s initiative: a social/labor relations committee, a labor dispute committee, a benefits and compensations one, and a labor protection one. All of these proved highly efficient. Last year, for example, over 1.5m RUR were directed to helping the company employees. Over 30m RUR were directed to fund the employees and their families’ vacations at Alushta Health Resort. The plant keeps funding staff’s swimming pool sessions and other sports events.
