UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 28, 2015. Seversky Pipe Plant/STZ (a member enterprise of Pipe Metallurgical Company) can now make CC rough stock for boiler tubes, the company press service reports.
The rough stock was ordered by Sinarsky Pipe Plant (one of Pipe Metallurgical Company's Urals-based member enterprises as well). The plant used to get its rough stock from Volzhsky Pipe Plant (yet another one of Pipe Metallurgical Company's member enterprises) before.
The technical parameters for boiler tube stock made of 20/5 steel were designed by Seversky Pipe Plant in cooperation with I.P. Bardin Ferrous Metals Central Scientific Research Institute. The difficulty of the order consisted in providing high quality metal for both cast and deformed pieces. Special mechanical tests had to be run on the samples to achieve this; Sinarsky Pipe Plant's experts confirmed that the chemical composition, metal structure, and mechanical properties of the manufacturing plant's produce were in full compliance with their technical requirements set out for boiler tubes.
'Cooperation between two Urals-based member enterprises has meant we coped with a number of logistics and economic tasks at once. We are now ready to make and deliver to Sinarsky Pipe Plant the boiler tube stock the market needs,' says STZ Managing Director Mikhail Zuyev.
