Yekaterinburg existing homes market prices keep going down

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 17, 2015. Yekaterinburg existing homes market prices dropped by an average of 0.9% in the last four weeks, Ural Real Estate Chamber reports.

Compared with the start of the year, the price decrease is 4.7% and now stands at 72,632 RUR per m2, the Chamber reports.

The market supply has remained more or less the same, with around 11,450 apartments and some 1,800 rooms in communal apartments for sale within the Chamber’s database; it usually takes up to 5.5 months to make a sale.

Over the last four weeks, prices decreased most noticeably in the downtown locations (-2.8%), with the average asking price dropping down to 99,512 RUR per m2. Prices in the city’s second, third, and fourth priciest areas went down by 0.9% (76,908 RUR per m2), 0.6% (66,875 RUR per m2), and 1.3% (62,429 RUR per m2), respectively.

As for the least expensive and remotest districts of Yekaterinburg, housing prices declined by 0.6% and now come to 53,871 RUR per m2 on average.
