August 26, 2015. Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Boris Dubrovsky met with Russian President Vladimir Putin to report on Russian Copper Company’s successfully completed project, Mikheevskiy Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise, the company press service reports.

‘Our natural resource-extracting companies are doing quite well, with RCC’s new copper mine increasing our output by 28%. Our metallurgical enterprises have proven rather stable as well,’ the Governor said.

Mikheevskiy is Russian Copper Company’s green field project, with over 27bn RUR in investments, which has created some 1,000 new jobs (1,200 by 2016); the workers get paid, on average, over 42,000 RUR a month.

The enterprise paid 346.3m RUR in taxes last year.

‘We are naturally delighted to have our project presented to the Russian President as one of Chelyabinsk Region’s major economic driving forces. We are now proud to say this enterprise is a success, and our next goal is Tominsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise, which is one of the targets on the national strategic program for the development of non-ferrous metallurgical companies in 2014-2030,’ says RCC President Vsevolod Levin.
