August 24, 2015. Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s head plant in Nizhniy Tagil is holding a company arts contest in September. A talent show of sorts will take place at I.V. Okunev Palace of Culture, the company press service reports.
‘The idea is to offer some entertainment to the plant workers as well as to reveal their creative potential and build up on company traditions. Both the head plant employees and workers from the corporation’s other member enterprises located in Nizhniy Tagil are eligible to compete in opera, stage, folk, pop, rock, and rap singing,’ the press service says.
As the company management points out, the focus is on the creative implementation of one’s skills, on the stage performance, and on networking opportunities for people with shared interests rather than on just giving out the prizes. The show organizers were inspired by the talented employees who annually contribute to company contests such as Young Family and Man of Labor and standup comedy performances.
Applications for the two-round contest can be submitted through September 15; auditions will be held at I.V. Okunev Palace of Culture on September 18, with the judges’ panel selecting the finalists who will take part in the final show. This, followed by the awarding ceremony, will be held at the palace on October 16.
