11 August 2015 (09:15)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 11, 2015. The overall arrears of wages amounted to 3.9m RUR in Sverdlovsk Region on August 1; this was 28.6% more than a year earlier, even though the arrears for the last month actually decreased by 27.1%, Sverdlovskstat reports.
Three companies reported they failed to pay their employees on time; one of them is in the processing industry and owes its workers 945,000 RUR, another one is a bread and pastry manufacturer (945,000 RUR), and yet another one is an electric power, natural gas, and water supplier (3m RUR).
Head of Sverdlovskstat Elena Kutina says Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk Regions are Ural Federal District’s only constituencies to have these problems; wages are paid on time in Tyumen and Kurgan Regions.
Rosstat says the unpaid wages and salaries in the entire country amounted to 33.14bn RUR in the first six months of the year.
