UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 19, 2015. The number of Yekaterinburg hostels will reach 100 by 2018, Chair of Yekaterinburg Council Amenity Services Committee Maxim Afanasiev said at a press conference in Yekaterinburg.

According to the official, this will be enough to host all the travelers who'll come to Yekaterinburg for the World Cup 2018.

'Experience has shown most football supporters need inexpensive comfortable accommodation rather than luxury hotels. The city calls for businesspeople to focus on hostels, comfortable small hotels that won't cost one a pretty penny,' the city council says.

There are currently 41 hostels in Yekaterinburg, with the average price per night at 400 to 450 RUR.

All in all, 114 hotels and other types of accommodation (5,450 rooms altogether) are available in the city at the moment. Three more hotels (two of them four-star ones) will open this year.
