Uralvagonzavod Corporation takes part in SITDEF 2015

May 18, 2015. Uralvagonzavod Corporation joined SITDEF 2015, the 5th international defense technologies exhibition in Lima, Peru, on May 14-17, 2015. The event was hosted by the country’s Armed Forces Headquarters.

According to the corporation’s press service, their stand was part of the general Russian Federation’s exhibition. On the first day of the event, their pavilion was visited by Peru’s Defense Minister Jakke Valakivi and Commanding General of the Peruvian Army Ronald Hurtado Jiménez. Visitors could take a look at the produce of the corporation member enterprises (Nizhniy Tagil-based head plant Uralvagonzavod, Omsk-based Omsktransmash, Yekaterinburg-based Plant 9 and Uraltransmash, and others).

Two years ago, a life-size sample of the corporation’s T90C tank was the main feature at SITDEF 2013. This year, Uralvagonzavod presents its upgraded T90C and T72 tanks as well as BMPT and BMPT72 (tank support combat vehicles), BMR-3MS (armored route clearance vehicle), BREM-1M (counter-obstacle vehicle), TMM6 bridge, and others. Video clips broadcast onto UVZ plasma screens inform the visitors of the vehicles’ technical parameters and features.
