May 14, 2015. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation has taken part in Transport, Transit & Logistics TransCaspian International Exhibition in Baku, Azerbaijan, for the first time this year.

According to the corporation’s press service, visitors to the exhibition could see seven life-size railway vehicle samples on display both on the open-air site next to the corporation’s pavilion and at Baku-Passagirskaya Station.

‘We decided to present our produce because of our history of close cooperation with Azerbaijan’s government authorities. A contract for the delivery of various types of railway carriages (gondola cars, grain and cement containers, platforms, and hoppers) was signed with Azerbaijan Railways in March. We are to supply 2,900 units this year and 14,000 units altogether,’ the press service explains.

The corporation’s Director-General Oleg Sienko points out that export of transport machine-building produce is now one of the company’s top priorities. Long-term, trust-based cooperation with foreign partners such as those from Azerbaijan is crucial to stable performance of all of the corporation’s member enterprises.
