February 4, 2015. Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) and Gazprom Neft signed a technological partnership agreement for 2015-2017, TMK press service reports.
‘Our company has been doing business with Gazprom Neft successfully for a while now: we supply pipes for oil production and transportation, including pipes with premium threaded joints. The two companies have been working on their scientific and technical cooperation program since 2013. We have come to understand that TMK’s production capacity, its product range, and scientific and technological potential as well as the geographical location of the company’s assets allow TMK to meet Gazprom Neft’s current and future needs in terms of all kinds of pipes for onshore and offshore oil rigs,’ the press service says.
So the two parties decided to widen the scope of their cooperation and go for technological partnership.
The main goals of this partnership are: production of import-replacing and new product varieties, after-sales services, conceptual engineering of equipment and well-building technologies as well as, potentially, creation of a single scientific research platform for developing Gazprom neft’s more complex deposits.
Under the agreement, TMK and Gazprom Neft will support the development of Chonsky Group and Kuyumbinskoye deposits and will work more closely on after-sales services: for one, TMK experts will offer engineering support on pipes with premium threaded joints. Besides, the two parties will work together on integrated well completion (including with the help of formation fracturing technologies).
