TMK ships 4,377,000,000 kg of steel pipes to customers in 2014

January 26, 2015. Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) shipped 4,377,000,000 kg of steel pipes to customers last year, which was 1.5% better than in 2013, the company’s press service reports.
The shipments in the last quarter of the year were 10.4% greater than in the previous quarter and amounted to 1,218,000,000 kg.
Weldless pipe shipments rose by 3.8% compared with the year 2013 and reached 2,541,000,000 kg. In Q4’14, shipments increased by 11.5% against the previous quarter and came to 693,000,000 kg.
Welded pipe shipments, however, went down by 1.5% compared with the year 2013 and amounted to 1,836,000,000 kg, which had to do with fewer deliveries of industrial welded pipes and welded line pipes. In the last quarter of 2014, these shipments were up by 8.9% against the third quarter and came to 525,000,000 kg.
Shipments of OCTG (TMK’s key product) amounted to 1,937,000,000 kg, which was 5.5% more than in 2013. OCTG shipments rose by 16.4% in Q4’14 compared with Q3’14 and reached 519,000,000 kg.
In addition, the company shipped 892,000 premium threaded joints to customers, which was 15.2% better than in 2013. In the fourth quarter of the year, the number of joints delivered to customers remained virtually the same as in the third quarter, that is, 243,000 units.
