January 16, 2015. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) was given the second place among all of Russia’s flat steel producers and zinc- and paint-coated rolled products by Metallosnabzheniye I Sbyt magazine for the second half of 2014.

The magazine carries a biannual rating of the leading ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgical enterprises. MMK has always remained at the top of the list due to consistent implementation of its production development strategy which focuses on manufacture of highly profitable goods with high added value, MMK reports.

In addition to this primary rating, MMK was also ascribed the 4th position in the Rolled Section Steel category, while Magnitogorsk Metal Goods Plant/MMK METIZ (a member enterprise of MMK Group) was declared the 3d best metal goods supplier on the Russian market.

Metallosnabzheniye I Sbyt magazine’s rating usually features all the leading metal goods producers on the home market, including manufacturers of rolled section steel, flat steel, pipes, metalware, stainless steel, rolled aluminum, and nonferrous mill products. The rating is based on the findings of questionnaires completed by metal goods customers, on feedback provided by metal goods market experts, and on the in-depth analysis of the companies’ activity. The best enterprises were selected against such criteria as business development dynamics, delivery volumes, quality of after-sales service, produce quality, compliance with contractual obligations, and transparency.
