December 17, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Corporation took part in the Russia-Persian Gulf Trade & Industry Forum in Manama, Bahrain, on December 14-15, 2014. The Russian delegation was chaired by the Industry & Trade Minister Denis Manturov, the company’s press service reports.

A number of work teams met to discuss various directions of collaboration. UVZ International Director-General and Foreign Trade Counselor to Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s head Konstantin Demin took part in the meeting on equipment and machine-building, while UVZ Neftegazservice DG Alexei Samoukin joined the one on competition and partnership in the oil and gas industry.

Besides, Uralvagonzavod Corporation also presented its railway machine-building produce, oil and gas equipment, and light-rail vehicles (including, for one, the R1 tram) at an industrial exhibition that was part of the forum.

Quite importantly, Denis Manturov pointed to the options for cooperation with the Gulf countries during the forum’s plenary session. For one, joint production of freight railway vehicles would be a possibility.
