October 23, 2014. Sverdlovsk Region Trade Union Federation’s Labor Rights Inspection carried out a scheduled inspection of Kamensk-Uralsky Foundry Plant (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation).
According to the corporation’s press service, the inspectors looked into whether the company’s social-labor relations comply with the Labor Code requirements.
‘The inspectors visited the production departments, the HR Department, the law office, the Labor Protection & Safety Regulations Department, and the Director-General’s office. They were interested in the keeping of employees’ labor records, the size and the timeliness of wages and settlements upon resignation, protection of labor and of the workers’ health, social welfare benefits set forth in the company’s Collective Agreement, the performance of the labor disputes commission, and the part the trade union plays in the shaping of the company’s social-labor relations,’ the press service says.
Having scrutinized all the documents and spoken with the department representatives and the trade union members throughout nearly an entire working week, the inspectors drew up a very detailed report on their inspection.
