October 15, 2014. ChTPZ Group has mastered the production of new, highly profitable kind of produce: first-generation H2S-proof OCTGs with Premium ChT-Vt threads of the company’s own design. This is actually part of the company’s import replacement program. These OCTGs can be used for development of oil wells within highly corrosive environments, that is, with increased H2S and CO2 content, ChTPZ Group’s press service says.
These OCTGs have the diameter of 73mm and wall witdth 5.5mm. Providing these pipes with special ducts with VAGT-ChT-Vt threaded joints for connecting a pipe column to the oil well equipment is an additional challenge to be met. Unitech is now ChTPZ Group’s partner in the project on the production of the necessary ducts. The results of the recent tests indicate that these pipes and ducts’ maintenance characteristics are fully comparable with those of their foreign counterparts.
‘The company has been working on an all-purpose range of OCTG varieties with highly airtight Premium threaded joints that are suitable for operation under any conditions. Some of these hi tech products by the so-called white metallurgists are already being used successfully at the oils operated by Gazprom Neft and Lukoil,’ the Group says.
