MegaFon runs 260 outlets in Ural Federal District

September 30, 2014. MegaFon came up with a five-year performance report for its retail network in Ural Federal District. A noticeable increase in smartphone sales proves the most prominent trend at the moment: customers started buying these twice as often over the last year alone, while number of smartphones sold rose by 20 times over the last five years, the company’s press service reports.
‘Given our customers’ needs, we expanded the range of mobile phones available for purchase by five times. You can currently find more than 213 smartphone makes, 107 phone varieties, and 39 kinds of tablet computers in any of our outlets. Very inexpensive smartphones and tablet computers by our own brand, MegaFon Login 2, are the best selling products right now,’ says director of MegaFon Retail’s Ural subsidiary Yegor Zarechnev.
‘MegaFon recently opened new outlets in Perm, Chelyabinsk, Kirov, Surgut, Nizhnevartovsk, Tyumen, and Noyabrsk. The company now runs 260 retail outlets, with over 25m visitors a year, which is actually more than the population of Australia,’ the company says.
Based on the store assistants’ estimates, customers are mostly interested in the ISP options, commission-free payment of Internet and phone bills, and purchase of modern gadgets that offer Internet access.
