September 1, 2014. Plant 9 (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) was given an honorary certificate for its production achievements and for taking part in the Best Social Partnership Enterprise Contest dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the All-Russian Trade Union of Defense Workers.
According to the corporation’s press service, the certificate was issued on behalf of the Russian Industry & Trade Ministry’s Department of Arms, Munitions, and Chemical Weapons, the All-Russian Union of Russia’s Machine-Builders, and the Central Committee of the All-Russian Trade Union of Defense Workers.
The contest was targeted ‘at further promotion of cooperation between employers and trade unions of defense enterprises and organizations within the framework of social partnership projects’ as well as at improving the formats of social partnership schemes involving trade unions, employers, and national and local government bodies, and at enhancing the efficiency of collective agreements.
‘The terms of contest were quite strict. A competing company needed to have a valid collective agreement, to hold regular committees on labor issues in accordance with the Russian Labor Code, not to have any arrears of wages or social benefits payments, including trade union membership fees, and prove solvent,’ the company says.
The application, prepared by the plant’s employees from the Training & Social Issues Bureau, contained some information on the motivational schemes the company is using, such as the title of the Honorary Worker of Plant 9, the provision on the partial reimbursement of housing rent, the provision on financial aid, motivation programs, and incidental allowances relating to partial compensation of expenses occasioned by a death in the family.
