August 25, 2014. Only 19% of Russians use the services available via the United Government Services Portal, even though nearly 70% of the country’s population are aware of this option. Such were the findings of a survey conducted by the National Agency for Financial Studies (NAFI).

Residents of Central and Far Eastern Federal Districts appear to be more informed about the portal (82% and 79% of locals, respectively, know about it). As for Ural Federal District, 54% of residents know it exists and 46% of those responded learned about the portal during the survey. Only 8% of the locals have actually used the portal at least once.

Residents of Southern, Siberian, and North Caucasian Federal Districts use the United Portal’s options least of all: 97%, 96%, and 95% of local populations have never used it all.

The survey was conducted by NAFI in July 2014 using the representative sampling method. 1,600 people over 18 were surveyed in 140 towns in 42 Russian constituencies. Statistical discrepancy stands at no more than 3.4%.
