August 18, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation took part in the third international forum called Machine-Building Technologies 2014; the forum took off in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region, on August 13, the corporation’s press service reports.

The company’s Director-General Oleg Sienko joined the forum’s business program: for one, he attended the plenary session dedicated to cooperation and/or import replacement; the session was chaired by Russian Vice Premier Dmitri Rogozin.

The corporation presented a whole range of promising developments by the member enterprises of its special vehicles division at the forum. The exhibits included both models and full-scale specimens.

‘Visitors to the exhibition could see the 6S21 turret meant for equipping armored combat vehicles and other special-purpose vehicles; it is intended for adversarial intelligence, combat surveillance, location of targets through aiming devices, and fire damage to single and group goals through machine guns; among other exhibits were the 2S12 carrier mortar and Atom, the heavy wheeled combat support vehicle with a 57-mm automated gun that is meant for transportation of motor-rifle units, conducting combat from the vehicle, and fire support to off-mount riflemen as well as a number of other samples,’ the press service says.

During his tour of Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s stand, Dmitri Rogozin was accompanied by the forum’s non-typical guest, actor Steven Seagal.
