Uralvagonzavod Corporation to present is developments at Machine-Building Technologies 2014

August 13, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation is going to present its developments at an international forum Machine-Building Technologies 2014 that will take off in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region, on August 13.

‘The corporation’s Director-General Oleg Sienko is expected to take part in the forum’s business agenda. What is more, Uralvagonzavod Corporation is to present a whole range of promising developments from the member enterprises of the special vehicles division,’ the corporation’s press service reports.

Military goods will be displayed in the form of both models and life-size samples. For one, participants of and visitors to the forum will see a full-scale model of ATOM, a heavy-duty wheeled infantry combat vehicle that was designed by Nizhniy Novgorod-based Burevestnik Scientific Research Institute in cooperation with the French company Renault Trucks Defense.

The machine is meant for transportation of motor-rifle units, conducting combat from a vehicle, and fire support of riflemen. The vehicle has a great cross-country ability and is fit for eleven people. The infantry combat vehicle can move at the speed of up to 100 km an hour and is fitted with an automated gun (120-140 shots per minute, range up to 6,000 m).
