August 1, 2014. ChTZ-Uraltrac, a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation, shipped one of its B12 bulldozers meant for operation in mountainous areas, to the Republic of Dagestan by order of Russia’s Federal Security Service frontier troops, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service reports.
The bulldozer is fitted with protection against falling trees and stones in the form of a special frame above the driver’s cabin. Metal grids that cover all of the cabin windows are an additional driver safety feature. What is more, the tractor has special fittings protecting the gearbox, the engine, and the running gear.
When the railway platform on which the bulldozer is mounted arrives in place, the dealer company Agropromsnab’s experts will help commission and launch the vehicle.
‘The frontier troops serving in the Caucasus are already familiar with this tractor type. The first B12 was delivered to Dagestan a year ago. It is now used for making improvements at the frontier in one of the remote mountain areas; since it proved very efficient, the customer decided to buy another one,’ the corporation reports.
