UBRD’s e-banking system proves most convenient among Central and East-European banks

July 30, 2014. The e-banking system of the Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development was declared the best in the Convenience of Payments & Data Layout category among the banks based in Central and Eastern Europe. The award was given out by the respected international magazine Global Finance which decides upon the best financial institutions all over the world every year, the bank’s press service reports.

Winners were announced upon the completion of a large-scale research on e-banking systems for private individuals offered in six sectors of the world. Based on the research findings, the most convenient and functional systems were declared for 95 different countries, as well as the winner banks in nine special categories. Only three Russian banks, including the UBRD, made it to the list of winners.

‘In just six months, we created Europe’s best e-banking system in terms of interface and convenience of payments. This was made possible due to well-coordinated efforts of all our divisions, thanks to the full-scale involvement of our design partner, and thanks to having a clear goal. This is an outstanding achievement at yet another Internet front!’ says the bank’s Managing Director and Head of E-Sales Vyacheslav Semenikhin.

The UBRD’s e-banking service was launched in February 2014 and has been abundantly praised by experts as one of the best banking e-solutions in Russia since then. It was declared one of Russia’s top ten most efficient e-banks (Markswebb, 2014), one of Russia’s top three e-banking mobile apps (Markswebb, 2014), and one with the best interface among Russian e-banking systems (Business FM Chelyabinsk, 2014).
