Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s employee gets award from Defense Ministry

July 29, 2014. Igor Dolzhenko, a 5th-labor rank engine tester from Omsktransmash (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) received the Russian Federation Defense Ministry award – the Labor Merit Medal. The award was given to him by the Russian Defense Minister General Sergey Shoigu on the acceptance day for the enterprise’s military-purpose produce, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service reports.

The company says Igor Dolzhenko is a lieutenant of the reserve and is 27 years old. He has been working at Omsktransmash since 2011 and has advanced to the prestigious position of the 5th-labor rank specialist thanks to his excellent knowledge, skills, and experience obtained during the army term. His work colleagues say Dolzhenko is a competent and conscientious employee who can always find the right solution to any complicated production problem.

The Labor Merit Medal is the Defense Ministry’s departmental medal that was instituted by the Defense Minister’s Order 310 dated June 5, 2010. On April 14, 2014, a new provision on the said medal was adopted that states civilian workers within the Russian Federation Armed Forces can also be awarded for great work and scientific achievements, long-term flawless performance, exceptional compliance with their work duties, and training highly skilled cadre.
