July 28, 2014. 7,174 companies based in Sverdlovsk Region submitted information on their job openings with the local employment agencies in January-June 2014. The amount of pay advertized was 8.9% greater than in 2013, Sverdlovsk Region Labor & Employment Department’s press service says.

All in all, employers posted 134,733 vacancies, including 95,849 ones for blue-collar jobs (71.1% of all the job openings). The number of people officially registered as unemployed within the first six months of the year was 31,021.

The demand for employees at processing enterprises, transport and telecommunications enterprises, and oil and gas companies increased by 49%, 9.5%, and 4.3%, respectively, in Jannuary-June 2014 compared with January-June 2013.
