July 23, 2014. Another metal-cutting unit HEC 1250 was recently installed at Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ-Uraltrac, a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation). The machine is meant for making large body parts of modern diesel engines, and was introduced within the framework of the plant's motor production technical upgrades program.
According to Uralvagonzavod Corporation's press service, 34 modern equipment pieces have been launched at the plant's motor production advanced technology sites. The machines were supplied by Chezh, German, and Austrian companies; four more unites are currently being assembled.
The machining units that have been launched can actually replace hundreds of old machines. However, the technical upgrades program does not stop there: scores of machines with programmed numerical control will also be installed at the plant.
