July 22, 2014. A study of Yekaterinburg shopping malls market in the first half of 2014 proved that quantity started turning into quality, an analytical report drawn up by Ural-Hermes states.
For one, developers have already decided to set up a planetarium, a dolphinarium, an oceanarium, a theater stage, a concert stage, and theme park zones in the new and reconstructed shopping malls of Yekaterinburg. In the long term, Dreamworks Entertainment Park is expected to appear as well.
Ural-Hermes analysts see the potential for the development of Yekaterinburg shopping malls market in the geographical expansion of the mall network. They feel that the city has virtually no modern shopping malls in quite a few large residential areas such as Uralmash, Elmash, Khimmash, Academic, and Vtorchermet.
It is also obvious that the local shopping malls market is growing in terms of quantity. According to the company experts' estimates, provided that the market situation proves favorable, the local shopping malls market might expand by 100,000 sq m in 2014.
