July 9, 2014. Yekaterinburg-based Plant 9 (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation) received a new thread-cutting mechanic arm with projecting attachments made by FROEHLICH&DOERKEN GmbH, the corporation’s press service reports.
‘This compact, powerful, modern, mobile machine was installed in the mechanical processing production facility. The machine is meant for cutting threads that are 5mm to 20mm wide; remarkably, the billets themselves don’t need to be positioned. The new machine is now used for making apertures in the necessary blocks,’ the company says.
The up-to-date equipment came to replace its older and worn-out counterpart that was installed in Plant 9 as early as the seventies.
