June 20, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Corporation is now organizing summer holiday programs for the youngest residents of Nizhniy Tagil. Last year’s experience has shown that edutainment programs are very popular with children, the corporation’s press service reports.
‘Every Thursday at 6PM throughout the summer months, edutainment shows will be coordinated for Nizhniy Tagil’s young residents at I.V. Okunev Palace of Culture: Uralvagonzavod decided to brighten up the leisure hours of the children who are spending their holidays in town,’ the company’s press release says.
Uralvagonzavod started organizing events for children in the summer last year, and it turned out that these fun-filled shows are very popular with children and their parents. Just like last year, this year the staff of the Palace of Culture and the employees of Uralvagonzavod head plant’s social work department came up with a whole range of games and activities for children. The first programs called Small Champions (this one was dedicated to the Children’s Protection Day and the Sochi Olympics) and A Trip to Lukomorie (this one was dedicated to the eminent Russian poet Alexander Pushkin’s birthday) have already been played through, with 800 children taking part in them.
The corporation says there are many more theme shows to come: on June 26, there will be a show called Let’s Make Friends; on July 3, children will go over the traffic rules in the course of a game/theater play called My Friend the Traffic Light. On July 10, the young spectators will be treated to Army Morning Exercises, on July 24, they will enjoy a workshop called Mr Brush Presents: this will be conducted by teachers from the I.V. Okunev Palace of Culture art studio. On July 24, Dance Marathon will also take place, with a fitness class offering training in different kinds of aerobic exercises. On July 31, both adults and children can go fishing and celebrate Neptune’s Day.
