Mayor of Yekaterinburg confirms additional list of roads to be repaired in 2014

June 20, 2014. Head of Yekaterinburg Administration Alexander Yakob signed a decree that set out an additional list of roads to be repaired and reconstructed this year.

According to the administration’s press service, the appendix to the document contains a list of motorways and roads that have to be repaired in 2014. There are 34 such roads on the list. An additional 700m RUR will be allocated from Sverdlovsk Region budget for the purpose.

Among the most important structures are Shevchenko St (from the viaduct to Karl Liebknecht St), Gagarin St (from Blyukher St to Pervomayskaya St), Lunacharsky St (from Lenin St to Chelyuskintsev St), Malyshev St (from Vosmoye Marta St to Rosa Luxembourg St), and Vostochnaya St (from Malyshev St to Lenin St).

In addition to this, new lanes will be added to roads at the intersections of Posadskaya St and Gurzufskaya St, Svetlorechenskaya St and Obyezdnaya St, and Amundsen St and Krasnolesye St.

Repairs involving new layers of coating in the space between the tramway rails will be made at the intersections of Lunacharsky St and Azin St and Pervomayskaya St and Shartashskaya St.

The decision to allocate 700m RUR for road repairs from Sverdlovsk Region budget was taken by Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeniy Kuivashev in the spring.
