Some 600 companies to join Innoprom 2014

June 10, 2014. Some 600 companies from 70 different countries are going to present their developments, materials, and solutions at the 5th International Industrial Exhibition Innoprom 2014 in Yekaterinburg Expo Exhibition Center on July 9-12, 2014, Sverdlovsk Region Ministry for International and Foreign Economic Relations' press service reports.

This year's event is dedicated to smart industries, production automation, robotic science, and new materials.

On July 9, 2014, the opening day of Innoprom, Russian Minister for Industry & Science Denis Manturov is going to give out the award to the winner of the Russian Federation National Industry Prize.

The first meeting of the New Industry Investment Strategic Council will take place on the same day. The meeting will be chaired by Denis Manturov. The council comprises heads of international and Russian industrial enterprises, international investment groups, venture funds, and development institutes.

The key plenary session is announced as Industry's Quest for AI: Global Trends & Russia's Specific Ways. Members of the Russian Federation Government and heads of major Russian and international companies are expected to take part.

Automation and robotic science in transport machine-building is expected to become one of the vital topics for discussion at the exhibition during an international session which heads of the Ministry for Industry & Trade, top managers of robotic vehicle and machine manufacturing companies (KUKA, ABB, Fanuc, Comau, Schneider Electric), and directors of leading Russian and international car makers (AVTOVAZ, Sollers, KAMAZ, OSK, Avtotor, Sinara, Uralvagonzavod, VW, GM, Renault, BMW) are expected to contribute to.
