Fan zone to be launched in Mayakovsky Park on June 13

May 23, 2014. Heads of Yekaterinburg Council inspected the construction site of the would-be fan zone for the World Football Championship 2014 supporters in Mayakovsky Park on May 22, the city council's press service reports.
First Deputy Mayor of Yekaterinburg Sergey Shvindt, Deputy Mayors Sergey Tushin, Alexander Vysokinsky, Sergey Myamin, Evgeniy Lipovitch, and some other officials took part in this inspection.
According to Sergey Shvindt, the fan zone in Mayakovsky Park will be launched on June 13, 2014.
'We expect this venue to give all those interested in football a chance to come an watch all the broadcasts. The site is big enough for 5,000 people. It's going to be very cozy, with food courts and spacious recreation areas. Football supporters can come and watch the games,' the official said.
