May 7, 2014. Elena Nikonova, CFO at Burevestnik Central Scientific Research Institute (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation), won in the All-Russian Honored Director of the Russian Federation Contest and was awarded a certificate and a badge of honor. The board of jurors evaluated Nikonova's professional activity that resulted in brilliant financial performance for the company, Uralvagonzavod's press service says.

The Woman Leader. 21st Century Contest and the Honored Director of the Russian Federation Contest are coordinated annually by the Association of Russian Female Entrepreneurs with some support from the Soviet of the Federation, the State Duma, and the national and local ministries and departments. In 2014, the contestants were female managers from all segments of business and from 15 Russian Federation constituencies.

The contests are primarily aimed at at finding and encouraging female managers who made a felt contribution to their company's success, whose work performance was outstanding in terms of socioeconomic effect, and who are involved in trying to solve social problems, in charity projects, and specific social work.
