May 6, 2014. The third stage of a state contract signed with the Russian Federation Industry & Trade Ministry was completed at Ural Diesel Engine Plant (UDMZ, a member enterprise of Sinara Transport Machines). This contract is part of the Dieselstroy Project. The work acceptance statement to this extent was signed at the ministry in late April, the company’s press service reports.

During this third stage of the contract, UDMZ workers did all the start-up and commissioning jobs relating to the launch of a single-cylinder unit (up to 408 kilowatts strong) and of the testing stands for the high-rpm diesel engine (up to 4,000 kilowatts strong) meant for ships and for the high-rpm diesel engine (up to 3,000 kilowatts strong) which is part of a diesel generator unit whose capacity can be raised up to 4,000 kilowatts and whose voltage level comes to 0.4/6.3/10.5 kilowatts. In addition, programs and methods were elaborated for conducting preliminary accepted test procedures and certification procedures of the single-cylinder unit, the diesel engine, and the high-rpm diesel engine that is part of a diesel generator unit. The stands were launched and their measuring gear was reviewed and certified.

In February 2013, UDMZ signed two contracts with the Industry & Trade Ministry regarding the completion of scientific research, design and development, and technological jobs. The Energy Diesel Project is targeted at the development of basic samples of a range of high-rpm V-shaped diesel engines, the Dieselstroy Project is targeted at designing special-purpose experimental stands for diesel-making facilities.
