Burevestnik wins in Nizhniy Novgorod Innovation contest

April 23, 2014. An awarding ceremony completed the Innovation Nizhniy Novgorod 2013 contest, and Burevestnik, a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation, won in the IT Innovation category, the corporation's press service says.
'The contestants presented their videos on innovative projects to the jurors; the videos were accompanied by some comments on the economic and technical parameters of the innovation: the idea, the savings effect, the implementation stage, and the scale of the innovation, that is, whether it is local, national, or world-wide,' the press release says.
The jury, chaired by Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Valeriy Shantzev, evaluated the projects along four criteria on a scale of one to ten. The winners were selected in six categories – Industrial Innovation, Energy Sector Innovation, IT Innovation, Defense Industry Innovation, Social Innovation, and Food Industry & Agriculture Innovation.
